ASBAQ 2020 Conference Wrap Up

Our Executive General Manager, Steven Tapsall recently represented us at the ASBAQ 2020 Conference in Mackay. The Conference Chair, Toni Williams kicked off the event with a great welcome speech - chatting about the conference theme "Make It Happen - Make it Matter". Toni shared the vision of the conference to provide members and delegates with skills, tools, techniques and the right mindset to move beyond the day-to-day - helping us to ensure our Queensland schools keep moving forward in a challenging time.

The conference program included a list of well-renowned presenters including Allan Pease ‘Mr Body Language’, Amazing Nige ‘Magician of the Year’, Catherine Molloy ‘International Speaker & Communication Expert, Michael Licenblat ‘Resilience Expert ‘ and Steve Simpson the ‘Workplace Culture Specialist’. The speakers all came together to lead delegates through the concept of making positive change and were a great asset to the ASBAQ 2020 stage.

Also, a special congratulations to Karen Lewis at St John's Anglican College and Clair Applewaite from Rockhampton Girls Grammar School for taking home our ESG conference prizes.

After a year of limited contact, it was truly great to get the opportunity to network and check in with all of the ASBAQ 2020 attendees face to face. We are already looking forward to ASBAQ 2021!
