Eaton Services Group Proudly Attends the 20th Biennial ASCENT Conference

Earlier this month, Eaton Services Group was honoured to attend the 20th Biennial ASCENT Conference, held at the stunning Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas from Thursday 1 May to Saturday 3 May. This bespoke and intimate event brought together around 140 delegates from over 25 Anglican schools across Queensland and Northern New South Wales, including Church leaders, principals, senior staff, Business Managers and school governors.

Representing Eaton Services Group at the conference were our CEO, Steven Tapsall, and Business Development Manager, Emma Hopkinson. Both were proud to fly the Eaton flag, engaging in meaningful conversations with many of our current education clients and building new connections with schools throughout our service regions.

As a dedicated commercial cleaning provider to education facilities across Queensland and Northern NSW, it is essential for Eaton Services Group to attend events like ASCENT. They give us the opportunity to better understand the unique challenges faced by each school community and how we can align our services to better support them. Through a focus on diversity, sustainability, environmental responsibility, and open communication, we’re committed to building partnerships that reflect and enhance each school’s strategic vision and values.

The conference theme for 2025, “Walk Gently”, resonated deeply with us. Emphasising sustainability, Indigenous perspectives, environmental stewardship and more, the theme inspired a powerful collective dialogue on how many of these interconnected values shape not only our communities but also the services and support systems that surround them.

Highlights from the event included keynote addresses and panel discussions from Archbishop Jeremy Greaves; education expert Dr. Simon Breakspear, who presented The Pruning Principle; Associate Professor James Kirby; Clinical Psychologist and Co-Director of the Compassionate Mind Research Group and Professor Dr. Anne Pattel-Gray, who shared deep insights on embracing Indigenous spirituality and knowledge. Attendees were also inspired by the voices of several students from Matthew Flinders Anglican College, who confidently contributed to conversations about the future of education.

In addition to the insightful sessions delegates enjoyed, the welcome drinks and conference dinner provided a relaxed and enjoyable setting to connect further with each of the conference attendees, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborative partnerships.

We are grateful to the Anglican Church Southern Queensland for hosting such a valuable event. It was a privilege for Eaton Services Group to be present, learn, and continue our commitment to delivering tailored cleaning solutions that genuinely support each school's mission.
