Queensland Road Safety Week 2025: One Team, One Road - Let’s Drive Like It

At Eaton Services Group, the safety of our team, clients, and communities is always a top priority and Queensland Road Safety Week 2025 is a powerful reminder of the role we all play in keeping our roads safe.

With over 400 team members working across the Eastern Seaboard, many of our staff are behind the wheel every day, travelling between sites and servicing communities across Queensland and beyond. For us, road safety isn’t just a week-long message, it’s a daily commitment.

We’re One Team, Queensland – Let’s Drive Like It

The theme for this year’s Queensland Road Safety Week is loud and clear:

“We’re One Team, Queensland – Let’s Drive Like It.”

This simple yet powerful message reminds us that when we’re on the road, we’re united - no matter where we live, what we do, or who we support.

As this year’s Road Safety Week ambassador Billy Slater says:

"Hey Queensland – it doesn’t matter where you live, what you do or which team you support, when we’re on the roads we’re all one team. Let’s work together to keep our streets safe and drive down the number of lives impacted by crashes on our roads each year."

We couldn’t agree more.

The Facts We Can’t Ignore

In 2024, 302 people lost their lives on Queensland roads, and thousands more were seriously injured. Every life lost is a family, a workplace, and a community changed forever.

Our Shared Responsibility in the Education Sector

As a company working closely with schools and the education sector, road safety has added importance for us. Each day, thousands of students travel to and from school  and many of our clients rely on us to support their environments with safety, reliability, and care.

Together with schools, the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the Queensland Police Service, local councils, and other community organisations, we are committed to creating safer road environments, especially around school zones.

Safety Starts with Us

Eaton Services Group is proud to support Queensland Road Safety Week and are excited to renew our commitment to safe driving - for our team, our clients, and the communities we serve. We believe in building a culture of safety by focusing on three key values:

Patience

Roads can be busy - especially during school or business start and finish times. We encourage our team and community to plan ahead, remain calm during delays, and understand that arriving safely is more important than arriving quickly.

Respect

Respect is the foundation of safety. This means respecting speed limits, school zones, street signs, parking restrictions, pedestrian crossings, and most importantly, each other.

Empowerment

We believe in leading by example. Many of the students we see at the schools we support are the drivers of tomorrow. When we demonstrate safe behaviours behind the wheel, we’re helping to pass on life-saving habits to the next generation.

A Commitment That Goes Beyond a Week

Queensland Road Safety Week may be just one week each year, but for us, it’s a reminder of an ongoing commitment. Our team continues to promote road safety through driver awareness, route planning, and safety checks, ensuring that we protect our people, our partners, and the communities around us.
