RUOK Day 2026

Opening the Door to Real Conversations this RUOK Day.
RUOK Day is a powerful reminder that every one of us has the ability to make a difference. At Eaton Services Group, we believe meaningful connection starts with a simple question — and sometimes that question can change a life.
You don’t need to be an expert to reach out. You just need to be a good friend, a caring colleague, and a great listener. RUOK? inspires and empowers all of us to check in with the people around us and start conversations with those who may be finding life tough.
This year, our Head Office team came together for a shared lunch — a relaxed, social moment that gave us the chance to pause, connect, and ask a few important questions about how our immediate team and our wider cleaning teams are really going. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to recognise that the simplest conversations can have the biggest impact.

The Four Steps to a Life‑Changing Conversation.
Below are the four steps recommended by RUOK? — simple, practical and genuinely effective. These steps help open the door to a safe, supportive conversation.
01. Ask R U OK? Start with a genuine question asked in a private, comfortable space. Let them know you’ve noticed something and you care.
02. Listen Without Judgement: Give them time to talk. Don’t rush, interrupt or try to fix things immediately — just listen and acknowledge what they’re feeling.
03. Encourage Action: Support them to take a next step, whether that’s talking to a friend, family member, supervisor or a professional service.
04. Check In Again: Follow up in the days or weeks ahead. Let them know your support wasn’t a one‑off — you’re still there.
RUOK? Signs a Workmate Might Need a Check‑In.
Sometimes the people around us don’t say they’re struggling — but their behaviour might. Here are a few signs worth paying attention to:
Changes in physical appearance - Looking unusually tired, run‑down or not themselves.
Changes in mood - Irritability, withdrawal, emotional ups and downs.
Changes in behaviour - Arriving late, missing shifts, reduced engagement, or acting out of character.
Changes in how thoughts are expressed - Speaking negatively, expressing hopelessness, or sounding overwhelmed.
Have you checked in with your workmates lately?
88% of people appreciate being asked. That’s almost everyone — and it shows how much these conversations matter.
You’re Not Alone — Support Is Always Available.
If you think someone around you needs support, or you’re concerned for your own safety or the safety of others, please seek assistance immediately.

Together, We Make Eaton a Supportive Place to Work.
RUOK Day isn’t just one day on the calendar. It’s a reminder to keep checking in, keep listening, and keep showing up for the people around us. Our teams across Eaton Services Group work hard every day, and taking a moment to ask “Are you OK?” helps build a safer, kinder and more connected workplace.
If you haven’t checked in with your workmates lately, today is a great day to start.
